When people experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. It is also not uncommon to not know what to do and how to cope. I know from experience that asking for help can bring about feelings of shame and fear. I strongly believe that therapy is an essential tool to help people look inside and become the best version of themselves. My greatest passion is bringing healing to those who have been through trauma or a stressful situation. I empower my clients to improve their relationships with themselves and others. l also empower clients to learn new ways to manage behavioral health issues and uncomfortable emotions. My goal is to help clients overcome life’s obstacles, reach their full potential and live their best lives.
I assist my clients achieve their therapy goals through a variety of approaches and a range of modalities. My background includes training in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and trauma-focused therapy, with a mindfulness/holistic and client centered approach.
My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University in Miami FL. As well as a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Clinical Social Work from Stony Brook University in New York. I maintain an active license in the states of Florida, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Outside of my therapy practice I enjoy spending time in nature, exercising, practicing yoga, reading, and traveling. I believe in the importance of self-care and I strive to model a balanced and authentic approach to living.
