Pricing and Insurance

Prior to the initial appointment, we typically arrange a 10-15 minute video or phone conversation to learn about your concerns and primary reasons for pursuing therapy. During this conversation you will learn more about our practice and we can answer any questions you may have about treatment, insurance and pricing.

Even with a thorough assessment, it can take several sessions to determine whether a client and therapist can work well together. The initial assessment begins in the first meeting, and continues into the next few sessions, as we work to develop a rapport.

You can arrange an initial consultation by clicking the Book a Session button the top of this page.

What If You Don't Accept My Insurance Plan?

You may have out of network benefits with your insurance plan. If I am an "out-of-network provider," which means I am not under contract with your specific insurance plan. It is still possible for you to be reimbursed for a substantial portion of the cost of services, depending on your plan's benefits package. Since I am a licensed clinician, my services are reimbursable according to the standards of most insurance plans. Once you receive an invoice/superbill, you can file a claim with your insurance to be reimbursed. Reimbursement typically ranges

from 50% - 100% of the cost. The actual rate of reimbursement will depend on your deductible, the percentage of reimbursement, and number of sessions allotted within a calendar year.

It can be useful to speak with a representative from your insurance company prior to making an initial appointment, as every insurance plan is different.

What questions should I ask my insurance company in order to better determine cost?

1) Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health outpatient services?

2) Do I have a deductible? If so, what is my "deductible?" (The deductible is the amount of money you would need to pay out-of-pocket before the insurance company begins reimbursing).

3) What is the rate or percentage of reimbursement?

4) Is there a limit to the amount of sessions that can be reimbursed within a calendar year?

What Is The Cost Per Session?

The cost per session depends on the clinician but it ranges from $125-$200 per session. The cost for an evaluation/first session may be more.
